How to Analyze Companies with Veblen Goods
Veblen goods are the manifestation of conspicuous consumption. Accordingly, when the price of a Veblen good goes down, demand drops because the good is no longer 'special.' (This is not to be confused with an inferior good, which enjoys less demand as consumer incomes go up).
