Quadrix

What it is:

Quadrix is a system that calculates stock values.

How it works (Example):

The Quadrix system is trademarked by the Horizon Publishing Company. The system uses more than 80 variables in seven categories (momentum, quality, value, financial strength, earnings estimates, performance and volume) to pick stocks.

Why it Matters:

Quadrix is one of an infinite number of methods for screening and picking winners and losers. No one mathematical method can predict what a stock will do, though most analysts will say there is no harm in trying. One advantage to using a data-based system such as Quadrix is that doing so avoids inadvertently incorporating emotional decision-making into the process.
